When I was asked to second shoot a wedding alongside of the woman who shot my siblings wedding - I felt so honored. I remember thinking - "It is weird, I don't feel nervous - just anticipatory, excited for what the day could hold!" - I suppose those moments are reflections of doing what you're meant to be doing!
The wedding took place in St. Helena in the Napa area of Northern California at a private estate, how cool to get to arrive at such a beautiful property and get to do what I do best. I took a few minutes in the car when we arrived to really let it sink in.
I was currently sitting in my car, at the private estate of the owners of a winery of a wine that I used to spend my evenings serving at my local wine bar. I went from serving the wine the property owners make , to second shooting a private wedding event on their personal estate property.
Those full circle moments...the noticing of the thread that ties it all together. I love synchronicities like this.
